This workbook has been published on the occasion of the first ministerial Conference between Italy and Africa, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on 18 may 2016 in Rome at the Farnesina.

It was aimed to provide easy support to the economic issues addressed during the summit. It has been divided into two parts offering a general overview respectively of the state of (and prospects for) economic ties between Italy and Africa and of the most important African economic sectors; each of these are addressed in a dedicated section, complete with the most up-to-date news.
